We created an animated explainer video for Bridge Coffee Roasters to help promote their Brand Champion Programme. Lifestyle photography & product photography were also shot for use across their website and marketing content. This was a joint project with our very good friends at Spindogs who were building a new website for Bridge Coffee Roasters.

We were tasked with creating a custom animated explainer video, to promote their Brand Champion Programme. The video would be used on the Bridge website, social media channels and sent directly to partners and customers interested in learning more about the programme. We were asked to create a narrative, script, custom illustration in line with the Bridge brand guidelines and custom animation. In addition to the animation, we were asked to create a suite of lifestyle and product photography, for the use across web and social channels.
This project, as with all our projects, began with a workshop. Our team visited the guys at Bridge HQ and after many ridiculously good coffees, we had nailed down the project requirements and deliverables. Back at the studio, our team got to work on character development and style guides – the template for the entire project to be built around. We also worked on creating the video narrative and writing a script, based around the information gleaned from the workshop.
With the narrative and style guides signed off we moved onto first drafts. Our illustration team created sketches of the characters and scenes based on the narrative and style guides. Working through this process allows us to ensure there are no nasty surprises, or changes to make to fully formed illustrations. We always ensure our clients are happy with everything we have created before we proceed to the storyboard, animatic or animation phase.

Before we animate anything, our team will create illustrations, for every scene in the script. From these illustrations we create the storyboard, and from that storyboard we create an animatic. The animatic takes the loose illustrations used in the storyboard and brings them to life with simple animation. They include basic sound effects, voice-over and soundtrack, bringing movement to the storyboard, allowing us to see how the piece will move and interact with the voiceover This is where the project really comes to life!

In addition to the explainer animation we created a suite of lifestyle and product photography at Bridge HQ. We spent a few days capturing everything from the baristas making perfect latte art, through to the Coffee School, roastery and the array incredibly stylish coffee machines. This really was a dream job for a team of coffee loving creatives.
