Filming safely during coronavirus

Working amid the coronavirus pandemic has been challenging for many of us. Coronavirus has impacted every sector, but we have learnt to adapt, and we are doing all that we can to ensure we can continue to deliver creative and effective video productions for our clients.

Managing the risk of coronavirus while filming

We have taken the time and effort to adapt the way we work to ensure we can film safely while producing the same results and high-quality video productions we are renowned for.

Read on to find out how we’re taking the necessary steps and precautions to reduce the risk of coronavirus and cross-contamination while we are filming on set.

Regular testing

Everyone receives an Antigen test when they arrive on set. These tests give us results within 15 minutes. If someone tests positive for coronavirus on-site, we will do another Antigen test to be sure. If the test is still positive, we will close down the production and rearrange for when it is safe to do so.

We also carry out temperature checks with a non-contact thermometer. This allows us to check that everyone is feeling healthy before we begin filming.

Wear adequate PPE

While filming during coronavirus times, we ensure that adequate personal protection equipment (PPE) is worn at all time. This includes wearing face coverings and face masks correctly over the face and mouth while on set.

Maintain high standards of hygiene

We maintain a high standard of hygiene while filming on set. To manage the risk of coronavirus while filming, we wipe down surfaces with antibacterial wipes and ensure masks are worn and hand gel is used regularly.

Adhere to social distancing

We enforce social distancing rules during production. Everyone has to keep their distance, adhere to the two-metre rule and use screens and markers to keep people apart where possible. To help keep to social distancing while filming during coronavirus times, we limit the number of people on set and assign people to teams to reduce people mixing.

Our team is local and fully mobile – we have the transport to take all equipment with us to your location – which minimises the number of people who need to use public transport to get to our set is limited. We also try to film with the same households where possible.

Adapt our work

We have adapted the way we work to maintain the safety of others. We use wireless monitors to enable the crew to be in different rooms to the models while reviewing and directing the scenes. Where possible, we will film outdoors. If we have to film indoors, we will use big rooms and limit the number of people inside.
