Managing Director / Photography
You’ll find Chris at the helm of Magenta, steering the ship and taking the pics. He’s been obsessed with photography since his late teens and to have the obsession grow into a profession, still to this day, blows his mind. His passion for photography, attention to detail and drive to always get the best results, has enabled him to build the business up and grow his team to where it is today. When he’s not working you’ll find him enjoying time with his family, cycling or trying to get Betsi (the dog) to behave.
Creative Director
Driving the creative and heading up the Magenta teams is Creative Director, Luke. Luke’s always been creative, after studying photography at university, he moved into video and soon got into animation where he realised his talents didn’t solely lie in one creative field, these broad expertise are perfect for leading the team. If he’s not working away in the office or reciting Alan Partridge quotes, you’ll likely find him enjoying dad life or going to see live music, sometimes he’ll do both at the same time.
Studio Manager
Studio Manager, Marie, keeps things running smoothly, whether that’s communication with our lovely clients or ensuring the Magenta team are well looked after. Marie is passionate about effective communication, making sure everyone is happy…. Out of work hours, you’ll find her enjoying long walks, live music (when she can) and surrounding herself with her favourite people. The one thing she never gets bored of, is waking up to a new day with her daughters and husband snuggled up beside her.
Motion & CGI
If it’s 3D or moving, Paul is the probably the wizard behind it. He primarily focuses on the motion and CGI projects of Magenta and is addicted to figuring out how to make the craziest of ideas come to life. You may have to double take at some of Paul’s CGI photography, his attention to detail makes even the keenest of eye, question if what they are seeing is real. When he’s not headfirst in After Effects or Cinema 4D, he’s probably in the cinema watching the latest film.
Lead Designer
Leading the design side of Magenta is Sapphire. A talented illustrator and skilled designer, Sapphire loves the variety of projects she gets to work on day to day. Whether she’s creating visual assets for photography and video or creating illustrations for the next animation project, she believes when you’re working on a good project, it doesn’t feel like work. When she’s not adding the final touches to our client’s designs, you’ll find her dreaming up new ambitious home improvements, out camping with her family or discovering new places to eat.
Photography & Post Production
Laura (or Lo), is another part of Magenta’s photography team, she’s a photographer but also does a lot of the post-production and a little design too. She’s always been creative and is regularly making things, digital or otherwise. Laura rarely sits still, if she’s not working, you’ll find her playing games with her little boy or roller skating. She loves art in all forms and is an avid collector, one of her favourite graphic artists is Junko Mizuno.
Illustration & Motion
Part of the motion design team, but definitely an all rounder, Richard has a multitude of skills, which makes him great for the wide variety of projects worked on at Magenta. Whether it’s initial sketched ideas or the finishing touches, he strives for perfection in everything he does. When he’s not creating in the office, he’s creating at home, Richard is an incredibly skilled artist with various exhibitions under his belt, including his work being shown in a New York gallery! He also enjoys playing board games and spending quality time with his family.
Video
Gareth is a very talented videographer and has a flair for capturing key moments on film. His eye for detail and depth of experience shooting a wide variety of projects means Magenta’s client’s content really makes an impact. Gareth is always behind his lens, even on his days off, photographing, filming, while enjoying live music and exploring with his partner. He’s a keen coffee drinker and enjoys an IPA or two when the sun’s out.
Copywriting
Copywriter Annabel is the wordsmith of the Magenta team and is responsible for creating script copy for all our videos. She’s able to take our scribbled notes or random tangents and craft them into an engaging, impactful story. She loves language in all its forms and has a deep understanding of the importance of tone of voice for brands and getting the right information to the right people. When Annabel’s not typing up the latest content, you’ll find her with family, out walking and when she can, at the theatre.
