Our identity design and motion brand content project PIPS wasn’t a box-ticking creative exercise; it was a concept we genuinely believed in. A brand we’d love to see out there into the world. Bright, character-led and bold, it gave us the perfect platform to push what we do best.

Building a Brand From Scratch

Our goal with PIPS was to create a fully realised brand with its own personality and point of view. We started from the ground up – developing not just the look and feel, but the tone, story, and world behind it. That meant product design, packaging, a distinct visual identity, and a cast of characters to help bring the brand content to life.

These characters became central to the brand’s ecosystem – designed to speak to different audiences and star in scroll-stopping social content. Every asset was built with movement in mind, allowing us to lean into a rich and expressive motion identity.

The Creative Process

We began with extensive research and moodboarding, grounding the brand in references that felt relevant and exciting. From there, we mapped out key narratives and visual treatments before diving into design.

Illustration played a major role, forming the backbone of the brand’s playful tone. Our team then brought these characters and elements to life through a mix of 2D and 3D animation, crafting a unique motion design language that brought everything together.

A confident yet playful logomark tied the visual system together, while the product and packaging design added a tactile, ownable layer to the brand. We combined stylised CGI with sound design to give the brand content added texture and energy – using both sourced tracks and bespoke sound effects for a vibrant finish.

The Result

What we ended up with is more than a passion project – it’s a proof of concept. PIPS is a bold, energetic brand with a strong motion identity, made for today’s attention economy. Built from scratch, designed to move, and made to be seen.

Conclusion

PIPS represents more than a passion project — it’s a brand that reflects our belief in bold ideas, well-executed. From the very beginning, we approached this project with intention: to build something we’d be proud to see in the real world. Something playful, purpose-driven and full of bold personality.

By combining strategic thinking with expressive design, we created a cohesive identity system that feels alive — from its colourful character set to its dynamic motion identity. Every element, from packaging to promotional content, was designed to move, engage and resonate. We wanted PIPS to stand out not only in visual execution, but in tone, story and relevance to modern audiences.

This project allowed us to flex the full spectrum of our capabilities across branding, illustration, CGI and motion design – pushing ourselves creatively and technically to produce something truly original. And because the idea was born in-house, we had the freedom to experiment, refine, and craft something that matched our standards, down to the smallest detail.

PIPS now stands as a showcase of what we can do when we take a concept from idea to screen. Whether it’s a commercial client or an in-house idea, our approach remains the same: thoughtful, collaborative, and always driven by a clear sense of purpose.
